I am telling my anxiety that if I do *one* thing a day it is not allowed to complain.  Some days, taking a shower counts.

Today I planted out three peppers, two thymes, two tarragons, a Thai basil, and Zaluzianskya capensis .   I also hand-watered transplants that aren't ready as well as front-garden plants that aren't helped by the sprinkler.

That was definitely two things.  Maybe three.

Ten plants totally equals ten things, plus the watering!

When I was at home on maternity leave with my first kid, I considered it a good day if I got two things done. Dumping a basket into the washing machine counted as one thing; so did turning the machine on.

I bought some annuals (tried for scented geraniums, didn't find them, went to an employee, "Of course we have scented geraniums," they have a flat of coconut and two weird citrussy ones so NO), went to the hardware store for tin shears and hardware cloth, and mowed the meadowesque front lawn and a strip by the street till I ran out of batteries. Literally. It's a battery-powered mower.

Surely that's enough for a glass of rosé...

Yes, you referred me to her and I grew her plants (bigger and BIGGER and rooted cuttings etc) for years. Logee's sent me Prince Ruperts last year, I ordered rather late and they were small. I'm going to try Mountain Valley Growers this year if I can't get anything locally. They seem to have a good selection.

Hardware cloth for, possibly, mouseproofing, and certainly for covering the basin of a water feature to keep some debris out---I think I can thread some of the vinyl-covered plant stakes through it to stiffen it. Alas, even if I caged the bulbs, the @#$#!! deer would eat them. They seem to have mostly ignored the daffodils and crocus, and I am told that they don't like fragrant bulbs like narcissus, mostly, so I may put more effort into that next year. Last year they ate all the columbine, the bastards.
