It's been rough out there, and for that matter, rough in here. This year I'd like to read some cheerful (and cheerfully sexual) fic. People and trolls having fun, enjoying each others' company, enjoying each other's bodies. I admire angsty fic and read it enthusiastically, but I'm just not feeling it in 2020. Because I'd like to avoid angst, no Ultimate Dirk, please. All other Dirks are fine.

So. What would make you have fun? What's the fic you've always wanted somebody else to write, the art you've always wanted to draw? What scenery or scenario have you always secretly wanted somebody else to do? Do it for yourself. I'll be enchanted. In my experience, when people dive deep into their happy place, wonderful works result. I'll be impressed by your daring.

If you're writing or drawing trolls, feel free to bring in all your favorite xenophilic ideas. Snail sex! Two-stage reproduction like medusas! Of course, just plain ol' traditional Homestuck tentabulges are wonderful too.

Non-con "we know we mustn't but we just can't resist it" or "I wanted her badly and I'm so glad she broke out the sex pollen" is lovely. Flat-out rape is a hard no for me. Please write characters in their canon genders. Feel free to use any of Roxy's canon genders, and to use or ignore Pesterquest's canon trans Eridan and Vriska.

Any of the post-Act-7 content (HS^2, the Epilogues, the games) is fine, with the caveat to keep the fic, if not the setting, cheerful.

Things I love that aren't Homestuck-canon: Duels. Swordfights. Somebody forced up against a wall with the tip of a blade under their chin. Masked balls. Lost princes/princesses. Anything melodramatic. Bondage.

AUs are awesome. Prohibition? Royalstuck? Ruritania? Something much better that you just now thought of? Go for it.

Don'ts: Cruelty. Emotional manipulation. Rape. Urine or feces or vomit. Forced infantilization/ forced re-gendering. Childplay.
