I'd bet on: make the Fagin-equivalent something VERY VERY NOT JEWISH, probably veering directly into some other kind of unfortunate implications.
Also, will it be a "sense of family" encompassing Bill Sikes's domestic violence?
I mean, this could, like anything else, turn out to be a work of unlikely genius. However, I am not filled with anticipation.
