mme_hardy My alumnae organization has seen fit to invite me to "an event this week focused on building your personal brand with career expert [name deleted]", which is actually a St. John Knits trunk show. St. John Knits last qualified as "power dressing" some time during the 1990s.
I am sorely, sorely tempted to show up in my middle-aged overweight straight-out-of-Berkeley flowing cottons and say "Have at it, lady!" THe major thing holding me back is that I don't want to associate with the sort of alumnae who think this is a cool idea.
