Those first four chapters were just somehow perfect for me.

I'm giving it a running start, going through all the Tiffany books from the beginning. I Shall Wear Midnight is much better the second time around - but it also reminds me that PTerry was a wordsmith equal to Thurber in how he could make the language spin and dance.

There are other funny authors, sardonic authors, insightful authors. There are damned few that make an entire language sit up and beg, and we will not see the like again.
