Trees dying in vain
Jun. 16th, 2014 07:24 pmThere was just a knock on the door from the UPS guy.
He was delivering a package containing 12 pounds of printed material. To be specific, 12 pounds of Restoration Hardware catalog, entitled "Our Collection 2014". (Note: This is one single catalog, divided into volumes.) The packaging informs me that these were sent by UPS's Carbon Neutral service. Nice to know.
For the record, I think it's been 10 years since I bought anything from Restoration Hardware. Maybe a little less; I stopped buying when they stopped having fun little knickknacks like tin spaceships for the Christmas tree.
Edit: Apparently other people got 17 pounds of catalog? I just went by the number on the label.
