mme_hardyThe FDA has issued a public health alert (not yet a recall) for all Foster Farms raw chicken products processed at three plants. You'll find the numbers "P6137", “P6137A”, or “P7632” on the packaging. (We had to hunt to find it; it wasn't inside the FDA inspection seal.)
If that's your chicken, congratulations! You may be holding in your hands a free trip to Salmonella Heidelbergiensis. Or maybe not. They aren't sure. There's definitely an outbreak associated with those three plants, but the FDA haven't yet isolated the source.
